The Top Swimwear Trends 2011

Friday, 8 July 2011

More and more women are easing into the swimwear, feeling comfortable exposing themselves to onlookers gaze and the sun, while enjoying the azure waters and the sand. With the increasing popularity of swimwear, there have been some interesting swimwear trends, 2011 as well which are picking up quickly amongst beach-goers.Amongst the top swimwear trends, 2011 is the popularity of the monokini over the 2 piece bikini. Monokinis, with side cuts, allowing women to reveal their curves are quite popular on the beaches these days. Unlike bikinis, monokinis are one piece and hence seem to be a safer prospect than bikinis. They hold up better especially in the waters, whereas bikinis have been guilty of malfunctioning many a time. One of the upcoming swimwear trends, 2011 is the monokini design without sides, accentuating the shape better. It also involves the use of large metallic buckles to hold the upper and lower part. These buckles which are sometimes even gold plated add a hint of jewelry and glitz even while one is on the beach. This trend is particularly popular with the celebrities, chilling out on tropical beaches.Amongst other top swimwear trends, 2011 is the use of exotic tribal designs with earthy colors. This is a welcome change to introduce a tropical, tribal flavor in swimwear and getting rid of the cosmopolitan sophistication. This trend is fast catching up amongst a lot of women. In fact, the use of charms and stone beads in designing the swimwear has been seen to add to the earthiness of the swimwear. Animal prints are also equally popular as far as swimwear patterns are concerned. In fact, animal patterns have been in for a long time and they seem to be popular especially with the glamour loving and independent women who have a ferocious air about them. The most popular animal prints include spotted leopard prints, white tiger stripes and zebra prints. The top swimwear trends also include the use of stitching patterns to enhance the curvy look of an individual. These types of bikinis are particularly popular amongst women who aren’t extremely curvy but are keen to enhance their look while they grace the sand on tropical beaches. When it comes to colors, blue is the overwhelming favorite. Aquatic themes and even fluorescent colors are being used extensively for both bikinis and monokinis. White still retains its position as one of the classiest colors for any kind of fashion.
